The EWGA is a non-profit organization that provides women the opportunity to learn, play and enjoy the game of golf for business and life.
* In 1991, the EWGA had 1,500 members. Today, the EWGA has grown into a network of nearly 20,000 members in over 120 chapters across the U.S., Canada and France.
* 69 percent of EWGA members are avid golfers playing 25 or more rounds a year.
* 26 percent of EWGA members are core golfers (8-24 rounds).
* There are, on average, 154 members per EWGA Chapter.
* Women who joined the EWGA in 2008 and played golf prior to joining played an average of 35 rounds (nine or more holes) and spent an average of almost $5,000 annually on golf activities, equipment and golf-related travel.
* Women who entered the game through the EWGA in 2008 averaged 17 rounds of golf and spent an average of almost $3,000 on golf activities, equipment and golf-related travel.
* Each EWGA Chapter generates more than $698,800 annually in golf-related spending in their community. With over 120 Chapters Association-wide, EWGA members represent more than $85 million annually to the golf industry economy.
* EWGA Chapter fundraising and individual charitable donations nationally tops the half-million dollar mark.
* Since its inception, more than 85,000 women have benefited from membership in the EWGA.
EWGA member demographics:
* 65 percent between the ages of 36 and 55
* 31 percent have a personal annual income between $50,000-$80,000
* 50 percent have a personal annual income in excess of $80,000
* 18 percent have a total household annual income between $50,000-$80,000
* 76 percent have a total household annual income in excess of $80,000
* EWGA members love their organization. In the 2008 member satisfaction survey, members gave the EWGA an 84 percent satisfaction rating.
