The Middle Tennessee Chapter of EWGA thanks its many sponsors for their generous support and donations of cash and in-kind services.  Without our sponsors we would be unable to offer our many member golf and networking opportunities.  Some of them also offer discounts to members who present their EWGA cards when purchasing. Please remember and show your appreciation for our sponsors when you or your business has a need for related products or services.

Golfer’s Tee Times and Last Chance Tee Times

Golfer’s Tee Times

Golfer’s Tee Times is a monthly magazine geared to our area golfing community.

Golfer’s Tee Times is distributed to 200 plus outlets and distribution points and continues to expand throughout the Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky regions. The magazines are placed in convenient locations at all public and semi-private golf courses, country clubs, and driving ranges in these areas. Golfer’s Tee Times also can be found at select restaurants, sports bars, and golf retail outlets.

Golfer’s Tee Times provides details on upcoming tournaments and tournament results, as well as articles by regular columnists, who provide playing tips, help with the mental aspect of the game, and information on rules of golf. They also profile golf professionals from our area. Each month, they feature a “Mystery Hole” from an area golf course. Many golfers respond to this popular addition to the magazine as the winner receives a round of golf for four if they correctly identify the hole. The intent of the publishers is to present the readers and advertisers with an easy to read, factual magazine with newsworthy journalism. They continue to seek out items of interest for all who read Golfer’s Tee Times. There are featured sections that appeal to those from juniors to seniors, both male and female, and golf professionals as well as amateur golfers. The common bond that binds all their readers is the love for the game of golf and their coverage continues to be international, national, and of course, very importantly, our local golf scene.

For advertising or to be added to their distribution list, contact them at:

Golfer’s Tee Times is middle Tennessee’s most informative golf publication, and we are grateful for their continued support this year.  Containing the latest news and information about area courses, golf instructors, service providers and other personalities, it is the best way to stay on top of the golf scene in our area. Pick one up at a course near you.

Monell’s Dining and Catering

A long-time friend of the Middle Tennessee EWGA Chapter, Monell’s has a unique story to tell.  While driving around one day, Monell’s owner Michael King took a wrong turn, and happened upon a beautiful, mid-1880’s brick home. No money, unemployed, and with five gold credit cards, Michael decided to make a restaurant out of this historic house.

At Monell’s, table service is communal. King likes this setup, saying, “People need some family bonding around the table.” All items are passed around the table and the excellent staff at Monell’s soon replenishes an empty bowl with the freshest dishes from the kitchen. Each day’s menu includes a featured entrée, vegetables, bread, dessert, and at dinner—a “Chef’s Choice”.

If you’d like to experience real Southern Cooking in a real Southern home, come to Monell’s. If you’re on the go, you can still taste the down-home goodness by dropping by one of three Express locations. Recently, Café Monell’s has opened at The Hermitage, Home of President Andrew Jackson. Plus, Monell’s offers catering!

Windtree Golf Club

Located in Mount Juliet, Windtree is often described as Nashville's finest-conditioned public golf course.  Meticulous attention to playing conditions provide golfers of all ability levels pristine fairways and smooth, true greens for a spectacular round of golf every time.  The picturesque course features a links-type layout on the front nine, and elevated hills on the back nine.  A dramatic panoramic view of rolling hills and trees, with no visible roads or homes, makes Windtree the perfect "escape from it all."
They offer a large clubhouse, a professionally serviced golf shop with equipment, logo apparel and gift items, a two-tiered driving range and practice green, and a devoted staff of event planners.  they also have GPS systems on their carts, which is a great feature.  Windtree has been a valued sponsor for many years, and they've returned again this year! We're also pleased to be holding the EWGA Middle Tennessee Chapter Championship at Windtree in late July 2005...plenty of chances to get out and practice before the big event.

Tennessee State Parks and Golf Trail

Whether it's hiking, fishing, camping, golfing or a weekend getaway in style at one of our state park inns or cabins, you're sure to find exactly what you want from Tennessee State Parks.

Located from Memphis in the west to Kingsport in the east, state park golf courses offer a variety of terrain features, based on the geography of their locations.

There is a state park golf course within an hour and a half's drive from any golfer in the state. In addition, rates are very competitive with public courses anywhere and less expensive than semi-private courses. Courses in the resort parks are much more competitively priced than those at comparable private resort-type facilities.

The courses are challenging for all levels of golfers and feature lush and well-cared for fairways, and there are carefully manicured bent grass greens on most courses.

There are pro shops at all the courses; all pros are Tennessee Professional Golfers Association members, and the pro at each course gives lessons. Most of the courses have snack bars and sell golf accessories. Tennessee State Park logo clubs are also available at some locations.
